Updating Printer Accounting Information
Printer: Kyocera TASKalfa MZ3501ci
Operating System: Windows 10 / Windows 11
Overview
If your printer accounting code has changed, you'll need to update it in Windows to continue printing to the Kyocera TASKalfa MZ3501ci. Your accounting code is your two digit accounting dept number, i.e. 10, 11, 20, etc..
Step 1: Open Printer Settings
- Click the Start button and open Settings.
- Select Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners (Windows 11) or Devices > Printers & scanners (Windows 10).
- Locate and select the Kyocera TASKalfa MZ3501ci printer.
- Select Printing properties.
Step 2: Update Your Accounting Code
- In the Kyocera Printing Properties window, select the Device Settings tab.
- Click Administrator...
- Click Job accounting or Accounting, depending on the installed driver.
- Enable Job accounting if it isn't already enabled.
- Enter your assigned Account ID in the appropriate field.
- Click OK to save your changes.
- Then click OK to save the properties settings.
Step 3: Test Your Printer
- Open a document and select Print.
- Choose the Kyocera TASKalfa MZ3501ci.
- Print a test page to confirm your updated accounting information works.
Troubleshooting
If your document doesn't print:
- Verify that you entered the correct Account ID.
- Make sure Job Accounting is enabled.
- Close and reopen the application you're printing from.
- If the issue continues, submit an IT Helpdesk ticket.
