Instructions for Changing AV Receiver Inputs

Sony STR-DH550 – KIVA PC & Visitor Laptop Setup

Default Setup:

• PC = Main input

  • Receiver Input: SAT

  • Monitor Input: HDMI2

• Laptop = Secondary input

  • Receiver Input: GAME

  • Monitor Input: HDMI2 

To Switch Between Devices:

✅ To Use the PC (Main Input):

1. Turn on the Sony STR-DH550 AV Receiver.

2. Using the receiver’s remote or front panel, press the "SAT/CATV" input button or use the small dial to rotate through the options. 

3. Turn on the monitor using the GREEN button on the remote, ensure the monitor remains set to HDMI2.  This input should not need adjusting.

4. Adjust the receiver volume as needed using the volume knob or remote.

✅ To Use a Laptop or Visitor's PC (Secondary Input):

1. Turn on the Sony STR-DH550 AV Receiver.

2. Press the "GAME" input button on the receiver or remote, or use the small dial to rotate through the options.

3. Using the already attached HDMI cable, connect to the visitor's laptop or PC.

4. Turn on the monitor using the GREEN button on the remote, ensure the monitor remains set to HDMI2.  This input should not need adjusting.

5. Adjust the receiver volume as needed.

⚠️ Important Notes:

• Do NOT unplug any HDMI or audio cables.

• Do NOT manually move or adjust any sliders, dials, or switches on the soundboards or audio racks.

• Only use the receiver remote or front panel buttons for input selection.

• Volume on the receiver can be adjusted as needed for comfort.
