CALIBRATION: Ensures correct and consistent positioning of the print on the label and the label in the printer.
Symptoms addressed by this Solution include:
- Prints, then skips a label or is skipping labels
- Print is overlapping onto next label
- Print position is drifting up and down on the labels
- Labels stop printing in random locations
- Prints labels then the light starts to flash
With the printer power on and top cover closed, press and hold the Feed button for several seconds. The green status LED will flash a number of times in sequence. The Feed button must be held until the green status LED flashes two (2) times, and then immediately released. This will trigger the Standard Auto Media Calibration - The printer detects and sets media type and media length, and it adjusts the media sensors for optimal performance with the installed media. The printer will feed one to four labels while calibrating.
Other flash sequences that may be of use are the four (4) flash action, Restore Factory Defaults, and the seven (7) flash action, Manual Media Calibration, a more intensive version of the Auto Media Calibration. NOTE: Performing a manual calibration disables the auto-calibration function. To revert the printer to auto-calibration, return the printer to its factory defaults.
